Welcome to the Maria Ward Virtual Exchange project!

Every year primary and secondary schools all over the world, which were founded by the successors of Mary Ward (the IBVM and the SJ) celebrate Mary Ward week in memory of their inspiring foundress who fought for women's education over 400 years ago.
This year Loreto College Crumlin in Dublin, Ireland and Maria-Ward-Realschule Sparz in Traunstein, Germany work on a very special project leading up to Mary-Ward-Week in January 2013 - a virtual exchange!
A virtual exchange does not require an actual physical exchange between two schools, but instead we use the mediums of Skype and a blog to get to know one another and to exchange ideas, which help us to improve our foreign language skills, learn about school life in another Mary-Ward founded school and understand what great legacy Mary Ward has left to women around the globe.
The schools and the participating students and teachers are very excited about the project and would like to share their exchange of information with you on this website.
